I am prepared to bet that most of the people who hang out at CodeProject are Visual C++ programmers. No doubt a few like myself do a few other languages at the same time but Java is certainly a foreign language here. Therefore I would be most surprised to see anything besides C++ at the top.

YES, why? If there is Delphi on the list, then should also be all family of Borland C++ and C++ Builder...
Maybe there should be two polls:
First, what language do you use for windows progrmming, and then, following, which is your favorite one..

My fault! I initially had simply "C++" instead of "Visual C++" assuming this would cover VC++ and Borland C++. Somehow this morphed into Visual C++ and Borland C++ Builder was left out in the cold.
It's a conspiracy! :

I want to send DIB into Word in my application. I know OLE container can do it well, but my document is not a OLE document. Then I try to find other way: I send DIB into clipboard, find the edition window in Word, send WM_PASTE to it... but nothing was pasted! It is OK to paste DIB into Write, but failed in Word, Can you help me to find a good way to do it? Thanks very much

I think with the coming of new types of internet appliances , much unlike the pc , smaller and using embedded software, the assembly language may make a comeback ??? what do u think

Maybe - but while these devices are small they still have a bit of bite in them. Processors are dirt cheap, and memory is still not too bad, I think that by the time programmers realign themselves to start thinking in assembler again, technology will have caught up and rendered it unnecessary. Just look at CE devices: within a year or two we've gone from real clunkers to 133MHz MIPS and beyond, with 32Mb. 4 years ago that was considered quite a nice desktop machine!

(at the time I write this) over 50% of the respondants have choosen "VC++ and MFC". This does not shock me as the general focus of this site and it's code sample content reflects the usage of these products.
I would find it interesting to know what enhancements or 3rd party tools the rest of the dev comunity is using with DevStudio.
The two tools that I use extensivly for DevStudio are...
* Visual Source Format - a very handy tool for reformating "oddly" formated code into something readable.
* Visual Assist, by WholeTomato.com, well, to be blunt - kicks ass! It takes IntelliSense functionality to a Whole new level, and it works in VC5/6! It's allways the little things that make things nicer: converting member access from (.) to (->) and vise-versa - on the fly!

You're right CodeProject is currently MFC-centric but in the future this will change. MFC is brilliant for a whole bunch of things, but it's really bad for a whole bunch of others. Windows is changing (esp with the new DNA paradigm) and whether we like it or not we have to change with it.
A poll on devstudio add-ins is a great idea - problem is that I think once we start listing them all we will quickly amass a huge list. For the record though, my favourite add-in is the simplest one of all: the UserType.dat file :

Workspace Whiz! Workspace Whiz!
I work on a giant project with thousands of files and the class tree or file tree are just useless for navigation. The alternative then is either to use the file open dialog, or to use Workspace Whiz Workspace Wide Open dialog. The latter is much cooler! Joshua also added a "special" dialog that lists just the methods in the current file, so you can ALT-O to a particular file, then ALT-M to a particular method in no time! I've seen similar things in other add-ins, but never both in one. Thats my vote!
Oh, and true color add-in is pretty excellent too in the simple category

What sort of projects? Is it mainly performance tuning or simply for ultra-light standalone apps
