I am trying to explore the pc's files from the pocketpc, etc. using \\hostname\sharename.
I am able to get the emulator to do it, but the device cannot.
Do I need a plug-in network adapter? I thought the cradle should suffice,
as the pc can browse the Mobile Device folders.

Hi,
I developed an application in evc++, both 3.0 and 4.0.
When I run the program and close a dialog and go to another I use EndDialog() and DoModal() to open the next.
After 13 or 14 passages (from a dialog to another) I get a stack overflow message or the application freeze. I could pass from a dialog to the other without Ending or destroying the one I come out from, but often it is necessary to do it, and I can't avoid.
I've tried to use DestroyWindow and filled the code with various memsets (to free memory) but got no results...
..any suggestion?

i am facing difficulty in getting the value for the given section..
i refered the code which is on the http://www.pocketpcdn.com/articles/ini_file.html.
But it is failing to get the value from the INI file.
Any kind of comments are welcome.

Can you please show a sample of the ini file? There are some characters thet the ini file reader does not understand in the key. Also, the file must be UNICODE text.

The code uses functions to filter acceptable key names (see top of IniFile.cpp). The accepted characters are: 'a' to 'z', 'A' to 'Z', '_' and '.'.
You can change this to reflect your own choices.

Dear all,
I am writting an application for Pocket PC 2002, using the Microsoft eVC 3.0.
I want to show the Input Area (SIP) in a dialog but it does not appear despite I had tried to call two functions like:
SHFullScreen(((CFrameWnd*)AfxGetMainWnd())->GetActiveFrame()->GetSafeHwnd(),<br />
SHFS_SHOWSIPBUTTON);
And
SipShowIM(SIPF_ON);
Can anybody can show me what I did wrong?

Im trying to install embedded visual tools - 2002 but everytime i tried to install it (evt2002web_min.exe) nothing happends, it ask me to install .net framework SDK that i already have, and after that nothing happends!!!!

I'm trying to port an existing VC++ 6.0 code to eVC++ 4.0 and the compiler cannot find the file <process.h> and <iostream.h>
I tried changing <iostream.h> to <iostream> to no avail

You may find that the features you're trying to use aren't available on the platform you're targetting. Ensure you've selected the right platform.
Alternatively, the functions you're trying to use may not even exist on CE. For example, system has never been present. Use the Windows function CreateProcess instead.
iostream.h is obsolete and non-standard anyway; you should be using the newer standard <iostream> header.

I used the following code to create a socket in my EVC++ program:

I have no compile error but a link error that states :
error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol _socket@12 referenced in function "long __stdcall WndProc(struct HWND__ *,unsigned int,unsigned int,long)" (?WndProc@@YGJPAUHWND__@@IIJ@Z)
It would be great if somebody could kindly help me out of this.
