I use Reflection for the Persistence Layer to dynamically populate business objects with data from database tables. Creating a persistence layer is a good topic, seems to me.

As for me, I rely only on MSDN for information I need about the Reflection. I believe, .NET SDK has samples on how to use it.

We have to provide our client with a utility inside our application , which allow him to open a form in design mode , Move / Hide / Undide Fields on it, Change captions and etc. So basicaly we need a Form Editor.

I have an old project that I worked on long ago. It's in rather bad shape (the coding isn't exactly stellar...). It's a software app that calculates radiation dose in tissue. It's got an image (.bmp) loading routine and a bunch of classes to do the dose calculations, grid interpolation, etc... and a bunch of other stuff.
Wondering if it's worth releasing as an article somehow. Actually, I suppose it would be less of an article as just the release of a sample large project...

I would be great to see some articles on how to build IM capabilities into .NET apps, including support for all the major IM networks. I have done quite a bit of research and not found very much.

I would love to see the code for a Browser Helper Object / IE Plugin, written in C# that lists each of the files that is downloaded each time you visit a page in Internet Explorer. It would tell you how large each file is (css, js, gif, jpeg, html), and when the file download started and when the download ended, and if the file was cached.
Anyone want to work on this?

can someone tell me how do i read inputs from a text file?
(im still a beginner in VC++,iv pored through a number of books but none has enlightened me.. )
the input is made of a hexadecimal number on each line, till the end of the file. the hex numbers represent an 8-bit number.
how do i convert the hex number to binary instead, upon reading it?
im aware that each character will be read in ASCII (correct me if im wrong)and stored into an array before the programmer can convert it to hex instead. but i dont know how the coding is like.
if im not mistaken, each input will be placed in a [1x8] array (or matrix). how do i change it into an [8x1] array instead, with the bit-0 placed as the first element of the new [8x1] array?

Before the screaming horde descends to flame you for using the wrong forum, I'll recommend that you repost your question in the C++ Forum.
In the meantime, check MSDN[^] for definitive information about using VC++. Specifically, check this article[^] about using the ifstream object and its member functions to access text files.
I'm something of a beginner to the language myself, so there may be an easy way to do it I haven't learned yet. But my impression is that, unlike every one of the dozen or more other languages I've used, C++ makes every effort to make reading a simple line of text as miserable and difficult as possible. They seem to use the idle time of computers on the internet to simulate complex designs and calculate large things. Sounds complex to me, but I am curious how to do such a thing

Here's an idea - a university Communication/portal system.
Some ideas:
->Access to timetables and lecture notes to students and lecturers (lecturers can update lecture notes)
->Private Messaging, which says when a message has been read
->Lecturers can post messages to a student, group of students or a class or a year (shown like news on students front page)
->Student Union Activities
->Recommended texts and reviews of texts, from both students and lecturers (grouped by module)
->Library catalogue and reservations
Theres probably more you could do, it's also marketable to universities, and possibly even other institutions.
