If this is an MFC app, you can add a CFont member to the view, and in the OnInitialUpdate, create the font, then use the SetFont member function of the edit control (if that's what you have).

modal dialog problem

There are two modal dialogs, A and B in my program.
The A must automatically call B when it is "shown".
But i don't know where to put the DoModal() in A to call dialog B.
Is anyone has any idea? Thx.

It will causes B to be shown before A. What i need is to show A before B.

At the end of dialog A's OnInitDialog() method, post a user-defined message. In the handler for that message, construct dialog B and call its DoModal() method.

You could use WM_TIMER and set the time in A's OnInit.

Then in your OnTimer show B and Kill the timer.

Hi!

I'm recieving packets with pcap_next and store them to a file with pcap_dump. To double check I also copy the packet to a buffer and print the first five bytes at the console to see if they are the same as in the file.

But they not. In the file the first packet come after 40 bytes. So I think it is the IP header 20 bytes + TCP header 20 bytes. Why are they not performed on the screen when I print them in the console?

So I think, okey, then there will be 40 extra bytes for next paket too, but it is not. It is only 16 bytes??? and also next packet, and next ...
Why is it 40 bytes for the first packet I recieve, and then 16 bytes for the packets I recieve after?

Can someone explain this for a confused man,

Hi All!

I've created a Win32 API project and now i'm trying to create a registration procedure
for it, using a dialog box with two edit controls and a button control. The one edit control is the user name text and the other is the registration code text.

The problem is that i want to write a very advanced algorythm to make registration very strong without using any EXE compression tool!

Can anyone suggested me a strong algorythm for the dialog box registration procedure,
or a site where I could find examples to get some ideas?

Sounds like this is yet another attempt to provide some 'foolproof' software licensing, a la "Enter your name and a registration key" which then goes on to validate (or not) and allow use of the software.

You can enumerate shell windows using "ShellWindows" object (clsid is in exdisp.h or comdef.h)
Then enumarate shell windows (that includes ie instances as well) using ISehllWindow interface. Query items for IWebBrowser2 interface if it has one, get a window handle (IWebBrowser::get_HWND), then get window class GetClassName and see if it's an IE ("IEFrame").

I have testet this with the result if a call my function to receive the dispatch pointer from a VB Applikation it's work fine.

But if I call the dll from an asp site via IIS I get an error

class not registered at

I have got a dialog based application in which I have placed a TabControl and then OnInitDialog I have addedd the Dialogs like

things work fine all the time application runs fine but when I press on the Dialog on some control like edit box and press "Enter" all the Controls on a tab disappear and then I change the tab and get back and every controls come back Mad | :mad:

well, by default, the "enter" will call OnOk, which will close the dialog.

you need to override OnOk ( or something like that ).

The idea is to get the String for itemcount out of an ini file. Then to loop the function to the value of itemcount. Lets say for example that itemcount = 4, in the list control it will add all the items etc, but it will continue adding rows until -43.

I have worked out that if I didnt have the

int nItemCount = atoi(itemcount2) - 1;<br />
itemcount2.Format(_T("%d"),nItemCount);

in it, that it wouldn't create rows to -43, however it wouldn't show all the data I needed to add to the list control.

Is there anyway to stop it from going below 0?

I dont know if anyone can understand this, I barely do. itemcount is read from an ini file using CIniEx.
