uBlock shows how many ads it blocked on the current page: YT is showing 10 today, but I've seen 53 before.
I have nothing against ad supported models, but when you force that many ads on me, I'm not whitelisting you. And if you won't show me content without a greedy heap of crap being thrown at me, I'll bugger off elsewhere.
It's like those GDPR banners which forces you to visit each of their vendors and deselect them individually: I'm not doing that, I'm not there any more and I'm not coming back.
You get greedy and you lose visitors.

I suppose I just do not 'see' them because I do not look.
So just now when I looked at the youtube side bar (right) I can see a list of 'videos' and some of them look like ads.
But I almost never look at that. So I don't see them.

I pay for YT premium... of course, I still have to deal with in video ads. That whole pay model for premium users never worked. So, people still pay and have to deal with content creators doing in-video ads. It's too much IMO.

I have had YT Premium for several years. Sometimes I get on some form of device where I'm not logged in and no adblocker. YouTube becomes almost unwatchable. A self incentive to get out and do something physical in the world.

I have the best ad blocker for YT ever. It's called YouTube premium. And they never disable it.
Come on dude, they need to make money somehow and if you don't like how they do it, just use something else.

YouTube has a difficult time blocking adblock if their anti-adblock script can't run.

Youtube doesn't like something about my firefox settings, even if I disable my ad blocker.
Im just going to abandon youtube. It's not worth the effort to battle yt's large staff to get ad-free content. I'll have to spend a few bucks a month for a music service (which I needed to do anyway), but I won't miss youtube that much.
