Thanks. Antiviral meds seem to be working.
I am a senior volunteer with the Rural Fire Service of my state*, working primarily in communications.
We use a structured and inter-agency standardized Incident Management System, and members are trained in how that works.#
For the next step up, to specialist incident management positions, they must participate in a 3 day simulated fire exercise, running the operation with assessors watching them. There is a "campaign" fire as the centrepiece, with other incidents thrown in to keep the adrenaline flowing.
The exercise requires the support of a comms crew in the operations room, as well as another hidden room of people with radios and phones acting the part of crews on fire trucks, police and other agencies, etc.
I was leading the comms crew for days 2 and 3.

* The largest volunteer emergency service on the planet, 70k+ of us.
# The standards are international; we currently have incident management personnel deployed to the Canadian fires.
