There's always Bing

People always joke about Bing, but honestly, it's fine.

Seriously. When MS finally killed IE "for good", my next browser of choice fell back to Edge, as I don't want to feed Google any more of my data; at the same time I just kept its default engine (which, obviously, is Bing).

And so far, I've had no reason to believe I got inferior results. I still got problems solved in the same way.

Windows, being the OS I use, will suck up my data, whether I want it to or not. Given a browser will also do its darndest to do the same, then I'd rather have it go to the same entity than choose another browser as I'd then otherwise have two companies abusing it. And Google's sole reason for existing is to sell you ads (they make no bones about it). Microsoft is making its money elsewhere (although as far as ads go, it's not for lack of trying).

So as far as I'm concerned, it's a choice of lesser of two evils, knowing that one of them already has your data whether use you their browser or not.
