Water in Forbes, where I was working, is a couple of feet down from the peak of Thursday. Town is cut in half now, not thirds. (The CBD "island" is now connected to the south bank.)
There is a LOT of water making its way downstream, well overland really, and the towns downstream are bracing for it.
Heading home today.
Why does the Rural Fire Service get involved in floods?
Apart from peoplepower, we have incident management infrastructure, and trucks which (a) can drive through two or three feet of water and (b) have a very large pump.

The Butterfly Effect - Worlds On Fire[^]
Back after being away for a week!
The Butterfly Effect recently released a new album, IV (yes, it's their fourth album).
I know them from their previous album from 2008, 14 years ago!
They're obviously not in any rush 
Anyway, despite the quality, it's not quite my cup of tea, but I do like the first song from that previous album.
It reminds me of Muse a bit.
So that's what I've been listening to, instead of the new album (but you should give it a try if you like this one)

I have to think, the good hosts for such files are few and far in-between nowadays. Seems like unless you're downloading directly from the author, download sites all try to get you to download "a little extra" that you don't need, and didn't ask for. I've pretty much lost trust in downloading such files.
And no, I don't see so-called "stores" as a great alternative - they've all hosted malware. All of them.
