Every printer is different but I run mine at;

Nozzle: 230C first layer 240C after
Bed: 80C first layer, 90C after

It takes so damn long to print them!

Except when the print fails after 6+ hours into it and it is just about finished.

I've been having fun with the Elegoo Mars Pro 2 resin printer. I've been using the water washable resin. I've only had a couple of bad prints but luckily right at the beginning of the print. Resin printing has its own set of gotchas but the prints do look better.

I've been seeing a rise in sales for resin printers and wondered if they were worth the effort.

I went from Bowden to direct and it was a big change I can image that resin would be a whole new ball game.

The less you need, the more you have.

One thing you have to consider is that the resin in its liquid form is toxic to touch. You have to use rubber gloves when working with it. With standard resin you have use isopropyl alcohol to rinse the part. Plus you have to finish curing the part in UV light by either using a separate UV curing station or leaving the part outside in the sun for a while.

Another issue with resin printers has been the available print volume. There are a few now that have larger volumes like the Elegoo Saturn.

Overall for me I'm liking my resin printer.

I'd agree with Mike - that looks like the base temperature, or possibly the settings you used to get rid of the Elephant | [mastadon]

's foot has meant that the initial layer is slightly too high and as a result the bed adhesion just isn't enough.
It looks like the top left corner has lifted free and that's what created your birds nest.

Check the settings of your PETG - the manufacturer will supply them, normally with the roll.
My PETG recommends 220~240C, but I ended up running 215C at the hotend with a base of 60C. If I go much higher on the hotend it tends to "run" a bit and I get a hairy print every time the extruder moves without printing. If I go much lower on the base, it detaches.

Oh, I'm a complete idiot.
Here are the details I found in 2 seconds after actually looking.

Recommended Extrusion/Nozzle Temp: 230°C - 250°C (446℉~ 482℉)
Heated Bed Temp: 80°C - 90°C (176℉~ 194℉)

Mine are way off from that.

This is my material : OVERTURE Rock PETG Filament 1.75mm, Marble PETG Roll 1kg Spool (2.2lbs), Dimensional Accuracy +/- 0.05 mm, Fit Most FDM Printer (Rock White)[^]

That looks like Cura - I think you can set that as a "Custom material" so you can give it a sensible name for that specific filament. (Different colours may need different settings)

I had some cleanup but otherwise that's maybe as good as it gets. Not sure.
Also, my plate is very rough -- which I'm assuming is good for binding but then it creates that kind of ugly pattern in the face of the item.

So I downloaded and installed VS2022 Preview.

Now, when I go back into 2019, various "features" that I turned off are now back on, like Preview Tab, CodeLens, and other usesless BS.

That's why I ALWAYS install pre-release stuff in a VM first.

Pre-release or not, all versions of VS, if I have to have more than one, go into their respective VMs on my system.

I realize MS says it should all work side-by-side nowadays...but then you get reports like this.

Still, reasonable to expect that different versions would have their own configs. This is just laziness on part of the devs.
