It's actually from Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged.
He's a sort of Robin Hood - he steals from corrupt governments (which in the book is all of them) and what we would call today "crony capitalists", uses some of his gains to pay his expenses, and keeps the rest in escrow until the Producers of the world finally throw off the moochers and other parasites. These Producers will then be reimbursed each according to what corruption, mooochers, and parasites cost them.
A rather idealistic view of piracy, but then the whole book is a polemic.

I'm well aware that Ayn Rand was a very controversial author. I did not discuss her views on politics, religion, or any other subject.
I fail to see how a short outline of one of the characters in her most well-known book constitutes a political / religious / other debate.

last week I ordered a used book from Amazon: The Annotated C++ Reference Manual.
I reviewed few topics and felt it is really a great book still.
I wonder if I still need to go through it in my spare time....
