Does anyone see any reason why Rich OutlookBar in XP and Vista style[^] would need a rework?

I have checked and there are just minimal changes (i.e. size in the pic, &-quot versus " oder Tab versus spaces).
I can't really understand what does these changes bring after 14 years

Or am I missing something?

Not sure what you're getting at. I sometimes make minor edits to my articles but can now publish them without moderation. But I only check the "Mark article as updated?" box if the article or its code has been meaningfully revised. Otherwise it would put the article on the front page for no reason, which is abusive. If a revised article that requires moderation is always treated as if it should go onto the front page, I'd call that a site defect rather than deliberate abuse by its author.

What more or less was my question

But I am not going to report it, just wanted to know if I am missing something or not, because I can't find any good reason for those minimal changes done, and even less after 14 years without touching.

Hi Codeproject editor,

Some text is squashed together but is correct when viewed in the article editor. The formatting must have gone wrong during automatic parsing/transforming/preparation for publishing.

Even my profile description at the bottom is in the red code tag (probably caused by an unclosed <code> tag)

Can you take a look?

Hello, I added my company's RSS feed yesterday as a Technical Blog but the first article was reported as spam and the account was closed. In reviewing the submission rules, I understand that the article contained callouts to the tool and therefore should not have been submitted. My apologies for this.

Going forward, I would like to only submit the most technical articles from our blog - some of our articles are career advice or thought leadership - and I will remove any CTAs or free download prompts.

When adding the blog feed again the prompt says "Feed already added, contact us." which I am doing here. Can someone help me resubmit the RSS feed? Thank you.

Yes! We definitely want to follow the rules of the forum. I think there's an original link that is shown at the bottom of the articles and that should be just fine!

Actually there's a link to the original blog in the upper left hand corner:

Thanks Everett. I have restored the account you were sharing the blog from. I recommend as soon as our aggregator pulls in your blog entries, that you go in and edit out the links and mentions of Arctype as soon as possible (as shown here):

Because the account has been flagged once, as soon as the members see the blog post with the links in it, they will flag the account again and remove it. If I happen to catch it before you do, I will edit out the links and mentions.

Sorry for the delay, I just saw your message right now.

It would not be the first time that some antivirus get a false positive with the annexed items of an article. I am not saying you can trust the download blindly. It is good that you tell about this issue, but would be better if you post a link to the article, if not the admins won't be able to check it.

I've written a tool to count the number of times unique IP addresses occur in zipped raw access logs and I'd like to share it with CP but can't work out where best to post it.

I wrote it to quickly identify aggressive bots on my website so I can block them by IP address.

I would say an article with a good explanation and the source code to download would be the best option.

About sections... I think it could be in:

If it works online
- Web Development >> Applications and Tools
or
- Web Development >> Trace and Logs

or if it works offline (you download the logs and work locally)
- Desktop Development >> Miscelaneous
or
- General programming >> Internet / Network
