Dang Covid, like you we've not seen grandkids in so long they forgot us.

We stepped in when the local schools internetterized and helped the grandkids attending school via online classes. This went on for months until the schools closed for the holiday a week or so ago. I am afraid by now they regard socializing as having contact with images on a computer monitor!

I take it in quite the opposite sense. Avoiding the family gatherings, which have (like it or not) been prime spreaders of COVID, a bit of self denial, is not so high a price to pay for increasing my (and their) chances of living another day.
At least, whatever they have, wasn't asymptomatic.
So, we occasionally see the children/grandchildren on Zoom, or via a telephone call.
Certainly, withing the next couple of months, I'll have had one or both vaccinations. It's not as though there's no end in sight. Why screw the pooch, now?

No one in our family has symptoms, but because we live in a Tier 4 zone*, we were not allowed to mix with any of them. A half-hour Zoom call was the best we could do.

I am aware of Vimeo
So far, whenever I ask this question, I get variously relevant and tangential phrases tossed out in spoken conversation; which for me is among the least effective communications media possible.
So perhaps those who actually write code might know enough to tell me how to form a list of relevant video upload sites; i.e., sites like YouTube, but not YouTube.
Or perhaps, just tell me what kind of question(s) to ask Google.

Here's an idea. The next time you get something good back from Google, let us know how you did it. What I mean is, give us the detailed input string. For bonus points include your thoughts on how you generalized this string, what might be a glaring disparity to you between this string and past strings, which seem now to be bogus and a waste of time in their construction, and any perhaps magical thinking, the type of thinking not used normally, which lead you to this epiphany.

Depends what you mean by "relevant". What do you want to achieve? Somewhere to store your videos in the cloud for free? Somewhere to host videos that you explicitly share with a small group of viewers? A way to generate income from your cat? A way to influence large numbers of people to your particular political views? YouTube can be used in all these ways, and many more. It's hard to recommend a solution when we don't know the problem...
