Turkish coffee for the workday, Irish coffee for the weekend - both are drinks of the gods! 
Seriously, coffee gives the the extra push during the workday. Mixed with alcohol, it mellows me (but keeps me moderately alert) on the weekend.

I used to despise coffee until I worked night shift for about a year. It never seemed to matter how much sleep I had gotten, that early morning crash was going to come in hard. Picked up coffee to try and make finishing a shift easier. Ultimately ended up finding a taste for it, to the point where I like to explore different coffee blends.
Oh, and it must be hot coffee. Get out of here with that iced nonsense.

I don't get it either. People boast about how much they "need" (are addicted) to a drug. Why is that something to boast about?!! 
Most developers I have worked with do not drink coffee, which was a surprise to me. I had expected most would.

Coffee is one of the essential food groups, not consumed on a regular basis it causes dingbautulus which is akin to scurvy and although not fatal can cause a severe craving to listen to Justin Bieber music.
I'm not sure how many cookies it makes to be happy, but so far it's not 27.

Never had a coffee in my life[*], and I just never started because I suspect I'd probably be the type who drinks 6 a day. There was a period of time in my 20s when I had 2-3 Coke cans a day, but thankfully gave that up. These days on my desk I have these extra-large plastic Subway cups that I refill with water 3-4 times a day. It's probably my saving grace.
[*] I've had chocolate-covered coffee beans, and I like the rush, but I intentionally avoid making a habit out of it.

I usually have 2-4 large cups a day.
Multiple studies have shown the health benefits of coffee far outweigh the problems.
A word of advice, if you: start to get the shakes from the caffeine, then stop for the day.

Herself was printing little labels for the grandkids' Christmas gifts. The only suitable card stock I had for the labels was a light gray. We did not have any white stuff. She wanted pure white background, so she colored the background white using Illustrator and reprinted the cards, but lo and behold: The background stayed light gray.
She called me: "Why is the background not white? I colored it white!"
"Your printer does not have white ink."
"Why doesn't the printer have white ink?" she asked.
How am I supposed to answer that?

NO - that only works with additive colors (as in shining colored lights on a single spot). You're talking about pigments (ink) and this is subtractive. When you subtract everything your left with black.
Your monitor works (with respect to your vision) via additive colors. Your crayons and printers work as subtractive colors.

I have seen, some time ago, very high end printers that had colors like gold, copper, silver, and white in their array of colors. Inkjet, I think. Pony up a few $US thousand and she can do her best.
