So you mean a separate database of queries that hold the queries that you can query so you can query the other database?  Maybe OneNote is what you want.

So, it depends on which interface you're using.
If you're using Management Studio you can save frequently-used queries in 2 places (I've used both over the years):
1) Create a 'Project' (File / New / Project / SQL Server Scripts) and save .SQL files into that project. Kinda clunky for organization, but workable. I used this method as a default, and used file naming for file sorting and commented keywords for searches. Sometimes you have to open the project file and manually rearrange the file references.
2) use the Code Snippets Manager (Tools / Code Snippet Manager) You can create your own Groups and add scripts to existing or new Groups. pretty handy, a little clunky, but it works. I used this area for some very-frequently-used utility scripts.

Oh, by the way: if you use Option 1 (SQL files and SQL Project) you can use version control so as to not lose files or their contents.

Actually, with enough infrastructure in place it could work.
It's accurate over around twenty miles, so you'd need hubs every 20 miles. Each hub contains cassettes with direction to every location within the twenty mile range, including all the neighbouring hubs.
You drive to a hub, get the next hub cassette, drive there, hand it over and get the next, and so on until you reach your target hub and collect the "local destination" cassette.
With enough tapes and trucks to return them to the appropriate hubs, it'd work. Total Genius!
But it's spectacularly inefficient, and a bloody stupid idea!

Once the "right people" used it and blathered on and on about it every day everywhere then it'd be a huge success. Then they'd say, "Well, it's Science, so of course we are using it." And then you wouldn't be allowed to ignore it, because if you did then they'd call you a flat-earther and a rube. That's when you know you have a really great product.

Every time one of my Windows 10 devices reboots now (while I wasn't watching) and asks me about "settings", I automatically respond with "Remind me later" based on others' experiences (e.g. OG).

My total resolve to never allow Win10 on any of my systems is, if it ware possibly, further reinforced.
I knew, "from day one", when the unstable updates became part of the deal, that no good would come of it. Apparently I was overly optimistic.

I am quite thoroughly disgusted with it. Every damned time it updates itself some setting or another is changed with no easily apparent way to revert it. This is very tiresome.
The latest is a utility program I have used for years on this very machine has now been "blocked by an administrator" yet my account is an administrator and I didn't do it. I changed no settings to allow this but that's the way it is now.
Visual Studio did something similar to me too. My software does NOT do this nonsense. Previous behavior is always the default.

Last weeks update killed the network settings of an SMB customer. Twice. Today it forgot all the firewall rules including their own file share rules. Network is the same.
If I turn on my developer machine and the UPC/Vodafone box is not ready, I don't have an IP, not even after the box came to life (dual-boot W7 don't have this problem). W10's solution proposition is always to reset the IP stack.
My card is made of a relative unknown manufacturer called Realtek ...
