Many years ago, we started a hike over a mountain in NH (Waterville Valley to the Kancamagus Highway) too late in the day. Fortunately, I had a flashlight and managed to keep finding the trail, which included creek crossings. We were lucky not to get benighted. D'Oh! | :doh:

To be fair, mass-produced Canadian 🍺 is very nearly as bad. But there are a lot of good microbreweries on both sides of the border.
