I'm inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt on this one - he's had an active account for nearly three years, and without a payload it seems unfair to start kicking him.

I replied to this hours ago - guess the hamsters ate it.
Basically said I agree (hence no linky and didn't kick) but I will still keep an eye on them as not the first time an account has been resurrected for spam.
Also no idea why I thought they had joined today - not the first time I've been seeing things this week
