Be happy that they only "requested" you to change the password.
They could have done as Microsoft and nuke your account because it violated the user agreements (some random "AI" errors).
There have been some people having this, and then... fvcked up. Specially if you use MS Cloud or X-Box accounts. Here in Germany was a case of a guy that got that and could not get access back to his account (containing some hundred or thousand € in games) for months (until some magazines and German Microsoft MVPs started public pressure). Still when just one day the account was again there, no sorry, no explanation... nothing.

I had several OTP codes sent to me before 'I' ordered a load of stuff I didn't want or need (iPad shock case, etc). My email address was hacked rather than my Amazon account.... you might want to check that...

Thanks for letting me know. I think I am ok, since I never received any OTP codes sent to me except the one I finally requested. I think it was a amazon-forced thing but that is really my point...if it is amazon forcing it then amazon should just let me know.  Of course they don't.
So you can't tell if you've been hacked or amazon is forcing a reset. It seems like amazon would want you to have more info about which is what, but apparently they dont.

Under current NIST guidelines, the only time you must change a password is if there is suspicion your account has been hacked. Amazon appears to implement these guidelines.

That makes sense to me.
However, why wouldn't amazon send a note saying, "we want you to reset your password, because we think there was suspicious activity." Then I'd at least know why the reset occurred. Instead they just leave me in the dark.

So, I have MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2019):
- Processor: 2.3 GHz Intel Core i9
- Memory: 16GB 2400 MHz DDR4
I am using Win10 in VMware VM:
- VMWare Fusion 11.1.0
- Windows 10
In VM, I am using Visual Studio 2019 along with other necessary tools along.
I am struggling to find a decent config for VM such that both my Mac and VM runs smooth. Currently, Windows is sluggish and feels like Pentium 2/3 age where I need to wait for seconds before call to action happens.
I have tried:
- 8/6/4 processors for VM
- 4/6/7/8 GB memory for VM
When VM is running, Mac Activity monitor consistently stays around 14 GB memory. (memory looks loaded). CPU though looks fine.
Seems either I am missing some config or the right combination.
Thoughts/Suggestions?
Do ask if any more/other info helps.

Probably not the answer you are looking for, but... have you tried another VM?
e.g. VirtualBox.

if u have licensed vmware then u can raise a support ticket and maybe they will suggest something for your troubles...

I'm running a Windows Server 2012 R2 VM using 1 processor core and 8192 MB memory for the VM and it works pretty snappy most of the time. I'm running the same chip as you but I have 32 GB of memory.
I ran this exact VM on an older Mac with the same settings and only 16GB memory on an older chip. The VM on the new Mac is slightly better than the old machine but really "Just Noticeable Difference"
Running VMWare Fusion 11.5.6, updated recently when it was available.

2.3 Ghz ... haven't run less than 3.4 on my main machine in years. Also, Browsers are not your friend if you like to have a lot of tabs (i.e. processes) open. The GPU plays a role in other than just graphics; more is better. Overall, it would seem you are under-powered for the task at hand.
(Your SSD / HD configuration matters too if all your activity is on your swap drive).
