Doing the SAOTD of today I just found a weird situation.
So far... possible. Nickname shown can be repeated. But... both accounts have the same summon name (and I thought that was not possible)
aaronfinchs - Professional Profile[^]
and
aaronfinchs - Professional Profile[^]
Even the "random" profile picture from CP is the same...
I don't know if it is due to a problem on CP side with some overload / delay at the moment he registered, or if he has found a way to fool the security checks while creating an account.
But for me it is not a "normal" thing.

This did point out a bug that I have fixed.
Even so, Rep points are only aggregated every 15 minutes, so there is a short window where new members will appear to have no points.

Same here. History is recorded but the total hasn't updated since around Fri Aug 28 at 5:30pm EDT.

Turns out there was a bad SQL Query Plan. Added an Index hint and it looks like things are amazingly better.

If it happens again, then a screenshot would probably help the hamsters know what "looking weired" might mean. (I have no idea how a smiley can resemble a small waterfall / dam).
You can take one with WINKEY+SHIFT+S and highlight the area, and use it in a bug report by pasting. (Pasting images only works in a few forums for safety):
Makes it a lot easier to see visual problems ...
Bear in mind that inappropriate images will almost certainly get you banned with extreme prejudice!

I had a missing index required for speed queries on the Reputation History table.
All fixed

Go for order by ID (desc). All new members still missing them, the old members have it though

I've looked at the Who's Who and don't see any missing Rep.
However, from the timestamp on you message, it is possible there were database timeouts due to backup. This might have resulted in it appearing that Rep was missing.
It is also possible that members created during this time may have not had their Rep recorded due to the same database issues.
I'm currently looking at how to improve our database performance now that we are running on SQL 2019.

I am telling about the counters. I mean...
versus...
Some weeks ago, it didn't matter if the user has any rep or plain "0" (zero) or even negative reputation (specially by trolls when downvoted) the counters were always visible.
Like 3 or 4 weeks ago, this behaviour changed
