 technically I disagree. A full on rant would have me yelling at my computer as I type the message. I declared it a semi-rant as I was actually asking for any other users seeing this. But okay...

A rollback happened for me just this morning - the update killed my workstation.

This is a problem I manage routinely, since I do all of the installers for our products. We use a USB dongle to control feature access. Beginning with Windows 7 we had problems with it powering-off the dongle, since we only accessed it every five minutes. The problem was rather ridiculous in any case, since the product runs in an industrial PC with permanently connected power. The solution was to have our installer turn off power management for the device.

Appreciate the feedback, and I'm happy I'm not going senile. I guess I can understand an update adjusting power settings, but turning off system restores? That's just crazy.
As for the power settings, I just noticed that I can create my own customized plan. I'll see if the next update will leave that alone.

If you want to be sure, you can click on his nickname on a message forum, you see the correct needed tag-summoning under the visible nickname (don't have to be equal, i.e. underscores are allowed in the nick, but not in the summon tag)
