I would like to understand those conditions better. I can kind of understand it if everything was modeled with virtual functions, and thousands of Objects were talking to each other through virtual functions, but even in that case would the affect be much more than 5%? And if you know something was critical, eliminate the virtual functions? Templates and objects, even without polymorhpism, are powerful tools.
