I really don't get that.
Backlit screens were the best thing since cordless kettles (which they probably predated, but I'm not going to waste my precious time and effort changing it to "sliced bread"). Why anyone would want to go back to white text on a black screen is beyond me; the whole "dark mode" thing is a joke.
It's either Ludditism or reverse elitism -- I don't care which; I just want it to go away.
The only thing I have in dark mode is Steam, but that's only because lighter skins don't work for it, any more -- and that's one of the three reasons* that I would rather buy from any other outlet that has what I want
* The others being that you hit too many "You can't get to there from here" moments in the UI, and that it screws up your gamepad controls when you play non-steam games (because it just has to run in the background all the time, doesn't it? Computers only exist to run bloatware from game shops).
