I think Netflix is especially good for series.
They do have some good movies, but it's getting less now that everyone and their dog gets their own streaming service...
We have Netflix, Videoland, HBO, Amazon Prime, Disney, WB...
I can't take a subscription on all, but of course they're reluctant to share their exclusives.
Assuming they have what I want at all, like Serenity that's pretty hard to find, even in (Dutch) shops.
And that's how pirates are born 
I don't want to pirate (and so far I don't), but how else am I going to see what I want to see?

 What have you tried? Amazon.ca's got it (hard to beat $8 Canadian), so does Amazon.com (USD$15 for the 4K version, which also includes the Blu-ray)...I know I still see it regularly in local stores (not that I'm looking for it...)

I found the 4K version as well, but it's €26,99 
Probably all import which won't work on European PAL players either.
I found it on Dutch "Marktplaats" though (kind of a Dutch eBay, literally translates to "market place")

Whereas on Netflix UK, Serenity is still available, and Firefly is AWOL. 
Meanwhile, the series Ad Vitam[^] was supposed to be released globally on 2nd August. It's still showing as "will appear in your list when it becomes available". Netflix support claim no knowledge of it.

Finished my JSON caching entity technique, and posted a huge article. Who was it that said "I hate writing, but love having written?" I feel that so hard right now.
It worked shockingly well right from the start, despite being based on a bit of tomfoolery to make it more efficient. I love when everything just works out of the gate - it's a sign of a good architecture.
Especially given working with messy webservices and JSON repositories this technique I've developed works really well.

I am exploring ways to access mediawiki's API right now; Forogar may not be the only one to be interested in a careful reading of your article.

the only caveat is it exploits a really nice path based access scheme that TMDb's API exposes. If yours doesn't you'll have complicate the code some.

The architecture in itself is interesting, so I don't mind if this may not be a ready-to-use library. I'll mess with it if I need

totally, the whole point was to show you how to do it for your own stuff. Most people probably don't need a TMDb wrapper, but it illustrates a concept, and rather than a library, since every service is kind of one off, it's best just to treat it as a technique.

Posting this in the hopes it prevents others from having the same issues and frustrations.
Having been following the .NET Core progress, and regularly upgrading previews, my list of installed SDKs had bloomed to a couple dozen or so. Read the docs and followed the instructions to remove the old SDKs using the standard App uninstall process.
After trimming it down to the recommended versions, plus preview 9 of .NET 3.0, I found that VS2019 Preview would not load SDk projects, reporting that it could not find the required SDK. Additionally, the dotnet command no longer worked.
Tried re-installing SDKs and VS2019 Preview, to no avail.
Applying some Google-Fu, I found that the path for the dotnet tools and SDKs had been removed from the PATH. Adding C:\Program Files\dotnet\ to the PATH fixed everything.

This is why I don't install pre-releases with microsoft products. Their pre-release setups get broken eventually and your updates hose your system for future installs.
Best to wait for release, or install prerelease on a VM

What's funny is i've seen microsoft test, and by any account they do a better job of it than a lot of software houses out there. full regression testing and code coverage. It's crazy, they have rooms full of people just writing tests.
But still, it is what it is. =/
