That's exactly how I somehow always end up with 25 Explorer windows opened at the same time. And the taskbar preview for them makes it impossible to find anything (another one of my first-world problems)...

Don't know if this message is ever accurate, but if it is, I find it rather annoying that shutting down/rebooting Windows can get delayed because it's busy trying to play the logoff sound. Of all things that can go wrong...
Worse: When this happens on a machine that's been configured in Control Panel not to play any of those cutesy noises on various events. Or an RDP session that shouldn't be playing any sound whatsoever.

well the, it's your own fault for changing ms default settings,
at least that's what the folks on technet always say,
and you know they must be right, they've got certs, lots of certs, and gold badges too,
anyway, unlike them I'll be kind and jump right to their eventual answer (save running sfc/scannow and posting logs all over the place.):
format all your drives (connected or not, even those in your safe may be infected) and reinstall windows. and no cheating with dvd's either whatever you need is in the ms clod.
