It's been fun upgrading to Windows 10. Especially when you find an app that kills the Start button in Explorer. Click the little Window icon and ... nothing happens. Makes for great Help Desk calls.
Oh, and then, after fixing that and waiting a few MS patch cycles, the app kills the Start menu again, but this time, you can click the little Window icon and it works, but you can't launch anything at all from it. Click any app on the Start menu and ... nothing happens. 
Vendors. I hate vendors.

Like they didn't see this coming? For goodness sakes people microsoft has a Windows 98 already, you're 91 versions behind!!! Of course they're going to start winding down old versions of Windows.

It's articles like this that caused my father to panic, which required multiple emails to assure him that Windows 7 wasn't going to just vanish, it just wouldn't be patched.
I have a Windows 7 computer on the other side of my desk which I use for my "weakest computer" testing. I keep it patched, but it honestly doesn't matter due to how it's used. However, I suppose I could have IT implement the "Star Trek" architecture where that computer has full administrative access to all computers in our company and, for good measure, all employee computers as well.
BTW, having had to recently deal with refurbished computers upgraded to Windows 10, I've concluded that you're better off just buying a computer actually designed for Windows 10, meaning 2016 or later. This is nothing new, though Intel's crappy GPUs before 2016 are a big reason.

I've been preparing for the last three weeks. I'm switching all of my Windows boxes to Linux, and keeping a single Win7 VM. I refuse to put Win10 on any of my machines 11 machines.

I thought the same thing, but if you assign Guest as admin, anyone could log into that system as Guest and be anonymous on the system. Home systems wouldn't be an issue so much as that Windows servers are also affected. Having anonymous admin access on a server is a black-hat wet dream.
When you are dead, you won't even know that you are dead. It's a pain only felt by others.
Same thing when you are stupid.

It looks nice and it's pretty snappy too! Tools | Options | Environment has a new checkbox, "Apply title case styling to menu bar" which is thankfully checked by default.

I don't see the benefits of using VSCode to actually write code.
It might be a lack of familiarity, but you'd think they would provide some sort of migration path for people that are coming from Visual Studio that still think in terms of solutions/projects, especially in Linux.

Can't imagine the parallel universe where Eclipse is preferred over JetBrains.

The one where:
0) Any time an eclipse user on the project adds a code (any?) file, it breaks the jetbrains build until you manually update the project file.
1) 99.99999% of all how to do X in Java articles assume eclipse, and 0% explain how to do it in jetbrains and figuring out how to deal with hyper user hostile java tools (aka all of them to my C# brain) in jetbrains from eclipse instructions was good for wasting a day of my life every time.
2) One of the environments where testing/debugging is done I couldn't install jetbrains, which meant I had to know how to do it in eclipse anyway.
The last finally pushed me over, but I'd already been wavering from frustration over 0 and the cumulative time being lost to 1) being higher than the expected slow down due to eclipse sucking.
