Having had a look to the other articles, I am not sure about the spam intention.

He has done a lot of job just to "hide" a link or two. I found another article with the same link a "Thanks NG" (The course teacher), but still not convinced.

I have given him a warning in both articles. I would say, wait a couple of days and let see if he reacts.

I have checked his other items, and they look quite fine. Bad for me is... I have done it after reporting.

I do think he has not done it with intention of spam. That's why I would ask @Sean-Ewington to have a look:

this one seems to be one that can be worth trying to speak with him.
Wiping the reports as a temporary solution could be a good idea, if he doesn't react... you might always get the big hammer
