A couple of years ago, I was vacationing in California and I visited a Santa Monica mall. I was heading for the escalators and arrived at the exact same time as an elderly lady.
Naturally, being well raised, I stepped aside and let her on first. When I got on, She turned around, looked at me like I was crazy, shook her head and exclaimed: "You're NOT from around here!"

Letters From The Colony - Galax[^]
This week I've had this song on repeat.
Read an interview with the terms "math metal" and "psychedelic" so that piqued my interest 
Or maybe I read two interviews and remembered wrong... (probably that) 
Anyway, this song starts out as pretty heavy death metal, but it gets (a lot) better after a few minutes.
There's a point of rest at about three minutes in and after that it has little to do with death metal anymore.
Too bad the album is more like the first three minutes and less like the latter.
Anyway, this song, and not the album, is the SOTW, so enjoy
