You have no idea how bad I want to send this to my managers. Bu if I did, I'm sure the beat down would be hard, fast, and continuous.
This article describes my managers almost perfectly. And not in the good way. We've slowly been heading toward isolation from users and simply being told what, when, and how to do projects for years. This last year we've been excluded from meetings with users regarding project requests as if the new 'project manager' is an expert on all the various systems we maintain.
I suspect the next step will be a complete disconnect from the users and the removal of analyst from our job titles and duties. They can then truly refer to us a "coders".

I've worked with people who have had desks that can be used in a sitting or standing position; the desk has controls to raise or lower as needed. I suppose, for those that have 'standing only' desks, they could request chair with extreme extension to allow them to 'sit' at an elevated level. No harm there, not is there...

The surging price of bitcoin (among others) in 2017 led more than a few companies to hop on the cryptocurrency bandwagon with hopes of striking it rich almost overnight. But my new one is going to make people rich*, invest now!
