That happened to me the other day - I was listed as the editor for a question when I wasn't even on t'interwebs. Site bug I assume...

Was it spam, abusive, or trolling?

Reopening an old question (particularly a seven year old one with 9 solutions) is normally counted as rep-point farming, which is abusive behaviour, isn't it?

Yes. But it was the first post of a new user who just joined.
In such cases I disbelieve that his intention was rep-point farming until he posts more answers to old questions.
From my point of view writing a comment and optionally reporting the answer is sufficient instead of reporting the user here which leads to the account being closed.

Maybe I'm going soft in my dotage  but for new users, I'm inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt unless it's actually spam or abuse.
Report the answer; leave a comment explaining what's wrong; but don't report the user unless they keep doing it after being warned.
(Of course, if it's the only answer, or adds some spectacular new insight to the thread, then there's no need to report it.)

Why? If points do not matter why care if someone is trying to get more? Especially if the answer is valid.
