It was a .455, but someone bored the barrel to remove the rifling, threaded the end of the barrel to accept a choke (and also removed the front 1/8 inch off the front sight blade), and used god-knows-what ammo (I'm assuming .45 shot ammo with moon clips) so the gun could be used as a varmint pistol.

I'm not sure if this is the way it's supposed to be, but pulling the trigger advances the (empty) cylinder, but does not draw back the hammer and fire the next round. I thought it was supposed to be a double-action revolver.

In other words, they ruined the rarest of all the Webley pistols. It's essentially worthless because a) parts are impossible to buy, and b) it would result in a pistol with non-matching serial numbers on the various major components. In fact, the cylinder is completely devoid of serial number.

It makes me angry just talking about what was done to this gun.
