So, this AM I took my caffeine ingestion to a new level. Along with the second cup (450ml/ea) I made my Oatmeal/Raisin with coffee instead of hot water.
Meanwhile, it's expected to reach 35C in NYC.
Live long and perspire.

Oatmeal is rich, but a bit more bitter - like well hopped beer. Raisins then embellish the experience with sparks of sweetness.

I like my morning cereal with milk, cold milk - if it's been out of the fridge more than 10 seconds it's too warm and I switch to toast.
Coffee: strong, black, no sugar, no nothing (incl. whiskey etc) - coffee must never be mixed with anything (except a little water) - if you don't like that taste, time to grow up.

I've always agreed with you. I learned I like 'medium' roasts. I have a friend who blends and roasts his own coffee and believes dark roast ruins the coffee.
I also have a family member that likes dark roasts. He also drinks a lot of milk products in his coffee. After a brief experiment, I realized the milk is to make the ruined coffee palatable.

Nope. Just "Quick Oats" so I can let them "cook" in the bowl of boiling water. Milk? Gag!. Mixes? Fake milk and lots of sugar. GagGag!.
Coffee was directly from a coffee urn.
Overall, the taste seemed to get better as I ate it. No so much on further equilibration, but like eating spicy food. One adapts to the perceived heat and it tastes ever better as it's scarfed down.

I eat oatmeal most days (porridge in the UK) most days and have tried it with coffee. Don;t have it with milk any more, just water and honey. As a kid, my dad would make it fresh and we'd have it with salt or thick cream or carnation milk - I still like the old bowl of cornflakes with a can of carnation milk.

Ingesting Carnation milk, directly, or in beverages? I've only seen it done by comparatively recent immigrants. Over in this part of the world we'd use half&half (or soy equivalent).
I like(d) the stuff in my coffee but drink it black for the last few years. Originally to cut down of saturated fats, but now, I'm so used to it I prefer it.

Either drink straight out of can or on cereal! As I said, don't really do that any more - pretty sure it can't be good for you!
Oddly, don't like half-n-half and drink coffee black but have tea with a splash of milk. Apart from the odd indulgence no longer consume dairy or, at least, very little.
