Markdown links [look like](this). I don't want CodeProject transforming pasted code at all, but it's especially annoying when pasting a link because CodeProject doesn't give the option of NOT transforming the link into a giant messy HTML blob. Please make "Paste as-is" the default, at least in Markdown mode.
And say, have you noticed that pasting even 40 lines of code is quite slow? Or that Preview seems to stop working after pasting a code block?

In my profile settings an option there is,
that says "paste as text", no messy HTML links.

In any case, Markdown pasting is improved.
When pasting code the system will try and sniff out what you're pasting (by sending it to the server) so it can create appropriate PRE tags.
There's definitely scope to improve this and/or make it client side.

"Paste as-is" as default seems to be the best. The ones who like to have it pasted "other" are able to choose "how to paste" it.

The options for "other" include "Paste as code block" and for this to work properly there should be a way to automatically determine the language of the code being pasted. This is what the sniffer does.
Granted: it may make sense to sniff the code after it's been pasted and only on the first time "code block" is selected. (Come to think of it, that's probably dimple to do and will solve your complaint)

Huh? Markdown doesn't need <pre> tags!
Btw, notice how there's a big blank space under the quoted code? It adds two <br>s for some reason. I guess you're using a nonstandard converter - most other markdown converters produce <p> tags rather than <br>s, for example.
If you guys could use Kramdown, like GitHub, I would prefer to write entire articles with that. As it is I actually write articles in Markdown, convert them to HTML, paste them into CodeProject and then fix the formatting errors that CodeProject introduces (e.g. in <pre> blocks)

Can you point me to the "standard" converter? Or better yet, the markdown "standard"? (that's a trick question and is why CommonMark was created)

Markdown doesn't "need" anything: it fully supports HTML. However, if we want our colouriser (and language sniffer) to do their job as best they can, then we use <PRE lang="XXX"> (in HTML) or ```XXX (in Markdown) where XXX = language. The ```XXX is a GitHub Markdown extension, and is non-standard (though we support it). I like having the sniffer because it allows us to automatically append XXX. (And I like users specifying XXX manually whenever they can because it helps train the language sniffer)

At the moment a forum message in anti-spam moderation displays as "Message removed" until a human approves or rejects it - if it said "Message awaiting moderation - please be patient" or similar it might frustrate new users less, and reduce the 4 or 5 identical posts they stuff in because they don't realise what is happening!

Maybe they ought to. Just thinking about it, if the message you post doesn't appear the automatic reaction (with me at least) is "I made a mistake" and there is a natural inclination to repost. With many, there's an anger or frustration response and a second post to try and get it up. An email saying "you have been sent to moderation" may take quarter of an hour to arrive - that's the Outlook / Live Mail default poll time - so there is nothing to tell them what is happening.
I think that either we need a "place holder" telling them, or a "you are being moderated, it shouldn't take long" page to just let them know what is happening in a civilized way.
And ... it might reduce spam if they know immediately that it isn't going direct to publication?
Just a thought.

Or getting the spammers attention on it and making them to improve until they don't get caught...
But... about the reposts of legitimate users... I have been there several times. I approved the bunch of messages and deleted all repetitions until only one left

So how about a change then?
The antispam system is pretty effective - and the "false positive" count appears to be dropping from what I can see.
First post goes to moderation: you get a message telling you that has happened.
While you have any posts in moderation, you can't post again.
That way, the innocent get told what is happening, and spammers can't flood the system. Since nothing stays in moderation for that long under normal circumstances, it's not a major hardship for legitimate users.

Someone posted a comment explaining exactly why you were given a low vote. You seemed to ignore that comment and ask again.
On the first one, I don't know, but it may be because you asked the OP to mark yours as the accepted solution. I know that is done in some communities but not in this one. And you also added 3 ! after it. It's considered childish to use lots of ! or ALL CAPS or abbreviations.
And most importantly, just do your best to answer and contribute and then do not worry about the points.
