Swedish Lamb? Never heard of it despite having lived in Sweden for 16 years. Normally lamb is seasoned with thyme and/or rosemary and garlic over here...

No idea where the name comes from, maybe it should be named French Lamb as it is all about the sauce and the frogs are famous for that in their cooking.

It sounds quite good actually... Coffee in the sauce, huh? Untipped, but would be quite interesting to try out. I would just want to make sure that it was good strong coffee!

We have used good quality instant in the past but recently we use espresso from the coffee machine, bloody delicious!

The coffee with the carrot and onion blended really makes a fabulous sauce. Make extra and it goes well with almost any meat

Onion, garlic, little bit of cumin. Skim off the fat - it's lamb, so it's fatty - add good quality stock, season well, and use the right potatoes. Rooster or Marabel are good choices. Slow cook the meat for four or more hours then let it cool completely before adding the mashed potato topping. If you don't, the potato dissolves into the gravy and it goes slushy. Sometimes, a good strong cheese grated on top to make it extra crunchy!
