Ok I've done what I can tell is the proper way to subscribe to the distribution list but I get a message
The Help Message for (CPDTSC) is for subscribers only!
Telling me I am rejected.
I am doing the following
mailto:CPDTSC@codeproject.com
Then in the Subject line I'm typing the following
Subject CPSTSC Terry Denham
What am I doing wrong? Is it because I have a spece in my name? I've even used user name as my email address but I got the same rejection message.

Just leave the subject empty as it is not used...

Ok I having some problems getting this subscription to work.
I've sent email to mailto:CPPDTSC@codeproject.com with a BODY of Subscribe CPPDTSC Terry Denham and I get back the following message:
The Help Message for (CPPDTSC) is for subscribers only!
I've also sent email to mailto:CPDTSC@codeproject.com with a BODY of Subscribe CPDTSC Terry Denham.
But I get the same message.
Anders told me to mailto:imailsrv@codeproject.com with a BODY of Subscribe CPDTSC Terry Denham.
I finally got the response that I've been added to the list.
But I've yet to see any messages being posted to the CPDTSC list but I've seen comments to the fact that a discussion is ongoing on the list but I've not received any messages.
So I posted a comment to CPDTSC@codeproject.com to see if I am receiving the emails from the list but I receive an error saying that my article has been rejected. 
So to cap it off, what the heck am I doing wrong.

I would like to join the CPPUGLY mailing list, but I have a problem. My free e-mail provider, Yahoo, adds text to the bottom of each message, which is causing my request to be denied.
I am typing:
Subscribe CPPUGLY Mike_V
but with no luck. I do get a message back from the CPPUGLY mailing list giving a list of commands to send, but it seems to imply that my subscribe failed.
Did I miss something?
Tech Support: "Do you have any windows open right now?"
Customer: "Are you crazy woman, it's twenty below outside..."

Most of the pages will be rather empty so it will be up to the PLs to fill them with something ASAP before the mob votes the articles down to 1. I'll put some kind of disclaimer on them saying they are a work in progress.

Cool! I can't wait to see the formats--the work you've put into this is very appreciated.
Some comments that didn't occur to me until I began thinking about implementing the article submissions (I'm sort of an "implementation" thinker  )--
Have you considered that posting what will probably end up being 12 or more articles (3 projects * 4 articles each) is going to totally take over the 10 most recent articles list? I think this will upset some people. Also, if it's like 5 articles per project, then one project is going to fall off the edge of the universe in the "all categories" section. They appear to be sorted alphabetically.
What language section do they get posted in? This will influence how many articles are in the top 10 list for that section also.
Given that the PL's have to fill them in, it seems that the article swamping and the empty content could be better resolved by putting them out over a couple days or a week, allowing the PL's to fill in the content on their own schedule. For example, I'm going to be out of town tomorrow and at a client on Friday all day, so I probably won't get a chance to deal with content until Saturday or Sunday.

IMHO, this is just bad luck for those people it will upset. I mean, we are "forced" to use this system (which is fine with me), but if we screw up the new article list for a day or so, so be it

I believe, yes. It doesn't seem common, but there are quite a few articles with tables in them. I guess the primary criteria would be to make sure that the table adjusts dynamically for browser width instead of fixed columns widths.

I think we should put the articles up in stages. To start with, I would like to expand on the initial project specs as I have been getting some good feedback (thanks jdunlap), which has made me recognise that I have not done a really good job on my abstract/overview so far.
From what Marc has said, I seem to have put in about only 10% of the effort that he did  . But that could be down to the differences in the projects themselves.

I'm going to be working on the article layout pages for a couple of days so if you want to discuss anything about CPP here you can do so now.
BTW, I have heard from Chris M. and he said we should use the existing article system already in place since he has not been able to work on a project system. So there won't be any polling available except within message boards. Also, the only mailing list that can be setup is for anyone on the author list.
-- Anders Molin has offered up access to free bug tracking and he'll be setting that up for our 3 projects until his Defect Tracking system is finished. Thanks Anders!
-- As far as source control, we may have to do this offsite or like I mentioned before, maybe a source manager can handle it all. Any ideas?

IMHO this is not good. What you say is just that everyone on the author list get a mail notification for each new post.
We really really need a maillist where the team can discuss ideas without the messageboard.
I like the idea of using CP instead of another site, like sourceforge, but this one really suck!
I have my own mailserver and I guess I'm going to set up a maillist for my project, if the other PL's want one just let me know.
When all this started Chris wanted us to keep it within CP, and I'm 100% for that, but a maillist and a bugtracker is needed, and if that means we have to do those 2 things off CP, then we'll just do that.

Absolutely. I don't think he would mind in these situations. A mailinglist isn't really offsite since it goes through email and not the web. If you have a web interface I would suggest adding a CP link at least. I think he was more concerned about setting things up on sourceforge or having a yahoo group where everyone went off CP to discuss things.
