Yeah, I have always thought they should design some headwear, maybe made up of solid metal, to protect the head. Maybe that will come anytime soon[^].

Hi All,

Time to complain about BT yet again. Parents moved before Christmas to a place that had a BT line... So I got elected to set up the wireless network. The phone line was not connected and so that led to a Xmas of having to use Tesco's WiFi on my Phone and trips to Bristol to download (and clear the server of Emails). An 'Engineer' is sent round who is from a sub-contractor who does the various tests (which I had done in December) to confirm there is a fault on the line. At this point I asked 'How long', '11th January, they can start work'... Smile | :)

There are government targets on Broadband speed and availability, I guess not response times to fix issues.

You may remember my VM service stopped working on the 8th December and its still not working, a whole month with no internet.

Christmas internet access in our house was saved by a 100GB EE SIM, a USB mobile dongle, Raspberry Pi and some configuration of DHCP servers, routing tables etc etc to create a mobile broadband modem/router, thanks EE/rpi!

I've cancelled VM, they are still forcing us to honour the 30 day termination in the contract despite the BB not even working, goodbye and good riddance VM!

That awkward moment...

Come back to it a few weeks later only to find it's still littered with (JavaScript) bugs Frown | :(

All testing should be done in Prod. It is the correct way to do things. Only epic fails in Production, will bring you spiritual enlightenment.
