I'm a UK resident using a VPN which gives me a virtual address 200 miles north but still in the UK which is recognised by all the IP trackers I can find as in the UK so ... why does Google insist that I'm in the United Arab Emirates and give me pages in English and Arabic? More importantly is there a way to stop Google putting me a thousand miles or so to the East of my actual place d'existence?

Hmm, your geography's about as good as mine. I think that would put one in Poland rather than Lithuania. But yes, I should have said something more like 4000 miles SE!

Well, according to this[^], Vilnius is 1074 miles away from London, in a ENE direction. You said you were 200 miles north of your actual location in the UK, which implies that your "fake" location is probably at least halfway up Britain, probably pretty close to Newcastle (unless you are starting somewhere further north than the London area, in which case 200 miles north probably puts you in Scotland). Directly east from there is Lithuania...

I know some in the UK who insist that the UK is being overrun by Muslims so perhaps it is intentional.

Here in Sweden it's a recurring problem with thieves syphoning fuel from boats during the summer.
One thief had the unfortunate of siphoning from the wrong tank, vomit was discovered at the site and it would have seemed that the thief had tried to siphon of the cess tank. 
Police hope that it's one less thief that will continue with this in the future.
