I went to high school there, so I know it fairly well Smile | :)

. Places I would recommend to see are the 'Dzsámi' (it's basically at the centre of the city), the cathedral close to it, the TV tower for the view. For a longer list I suggest you look around here for stuff you might find interesting: "http://www.iranypecs.hu/en/info/attractions/index.html[^]"
Don't really know about bars anymore, but used to know a lot back then Poke tongue | ;-P

Also as a side-note (provided you don't already know) this region of Hungary has a lot of German speakers (I myself attended a German-Hungarian nationality high school), and though I haven't been there recently to know is maybe that changed, I would recommend you prefer German over English when first talking to people.

I'm fluent at both english and german, what I think is funny is that in other countries (France, Italy and Sweden) I had the experience of getting a disgusted look from the people when approaching them speaking german, but nice to there are apparently countries thinking different.
