- Why can't I downvote any posts? Not that I want to, but just wondering if I need a certain level of CP'd-ness (TM
 ) to be able to do it? - How can I see if anyone has downvoted me anywhere?

1) You can't downvote in the Lounge, or some other forums - nobody can. Hence when the thin-skinned get upset, they resort to "abuse" votes instead. This was to prevent the "sea of grey" that washed across the forum from time to time (and caused complaints and speculative revenge downvotes). There is no UberCP level which allows downvotes (except Staff and Admin, but their abuse vote kills your account...)
2) You can check the recent reputation events for your account by clicking on the current reputation score at the top right of every page. This shows abuse and downvotes. But it won't show you who did it, to prevent tit-for-tat abusing.

Luckily I don't think I've received any abuse reports on my posts but now I've said that, I've probably gone and invited it!

Some people are thin-skinned; some posts are abusive.
There isn't always a correlation between the two.

Even Protectors are reporting members[^] as abusive for the weakest of reasons, it's all very sad. The attitude seems to be "I'll report you for the smallest of reasons, if your account gets closed you can go to Bugs & Sugs and ask for it to be re-opened" They don't even seem to understand that that is arse about face.

On a separate note, I would expect you to demonstrate a sort of mutual respect and adhere to the norms of online ethics, which also include the careful use of any administrative power delegated to you (such as spam/abuse reporting). I just finished a hobby android and WPF app and I found I missed something very important - icons for the UI. Because, for the entire time, I've never cared how monstrous these things look without UI. Unfortunately, for being a person feeling at-home with text and shells all the time my rusty brain has lost all its creativity
I tried a quick Google search to find icons resources for my need, sadly I was of not much help.
Any suggestions on where should I look ? I am looking for icons for a rich-text-editorish component, some printers and device icons etc.
While I was a student, I used to "strut" with my Photoshop and Illustrator skills, last time I opened it, CC freaked me out

I'm surprised. I've collected a volume of several thousands of icons and their corresponding png's over the years, all through google.

I do have such a collection too. But this project required icons that I just couldn't find out. What I was looking for some professional icon designers/vendors, which people have some experience with.
