Somewhere around 2000 I remember reading about two different research groups that both created long term solar cycle models (none of the older ones attempted to go beyond one cycle ahead). Both did good postdiction of the 20th century and predicted that the most recent peak would be delayed and smaller than normal. One of the two had a similar prediction to this one that the few after would be even smaller; the second that the peak after this one would be closer to normal and the one after that would be normal.
Unless the back to business as usual model's been found to have a fatal flaw (that was never covered by any of the press I've seen), I'm going to take a wait and see attitude until we have some idea what the next peak will look like.

On my tablet, I'm importing a lot of contacts - it's a long story - and it seems to have locked up on one of them. So...tap the "importing Sue..." notification in the messages bar and it gives me the option to cancel the import:
Cancel Import of Sue blah blah.vcf?

Needless to say, "Cancel" cancels the cancel, and "OK" does a cancel.
What's so difficult about "No" and "Yes" buttons? Huh?

Similar to what I heard during my first visit to the US about fifteen years ago -
"It ain't not work". Will it work? Will it not? Not sure (to me).
"It ain't not happen". Will it happen? Or not?
Have never visited the UK, so am not sure of this usage there. But, the English taught in India (in my childhood days, more than 35 years ago) didn't have such usages.

When you hopefully finally visit us here in the UK, you will find that we do indeed speak the English you learnt 35 years ago. I visited the US many times during my time with IBM and I very quickly came to the conclusion that they speak American in the US. It bears as much resemblance to English as Brazilian Portuguese does to Portuguese. They both have the same derivative language but time has taken its toll on the way it is spoken today.

I've seen this with previous colleagues as well.
Found it véry annoying. I had the impression they want to look clever and construct code that was hard to read so they would appear more techy like, or something.

They're borrowing techniques from game developers, it's really just the illusion of choice and both will cancel it anyway.
