So I recently met someone with a SmartWatch... And an empty battery.
When you walk around with an expensive gadget around your wrist that does absolutely nothing I automatically assume you're a douchebag.

Sounds about right.
Seriously though, I don't know Swift, but I've heard good things about it.
I just really don't like Apple (apart from the iPod classic 160GB which they don't make anymore), so there's little chance I'll be using Swift anytime soon

Resistance to technology by the majority of developers means the minority of us willing to accept and learn new languages can earn more.. 
What's weird is that many developers complain of never getting to try anything new, or being stuck doing the same old thing day after day. Then when an opportunity comes up, it's "oh no, it's not C# ASP.NET MVC, it's 'not for me'"

The smart C# developers are either learning Swift or Droid Java - a lot of employers/customers want mobile apps to go with their web applications these days 
Still, IT is all about being in divided camps and resisting new technologies, isn't it?
