Yes, that is a common problem with deleting spam; sometimes we need to see it in order to support the vote. Did anyone actually warn the OP about being abusive?

I'd say SA is closer to abuse than the OP: the original question is just vague and a bit "gimme code", not abuse IMO.

Having been had up for having politics in a sig, the existence of a post about politics in the lounge must surely be against the rules of CP. Unless of course they are applied enequally.

Yeah but you know that rule is only there to stop the endless political debate threads that Soapbox1 was created for. The threads you are talking about are no more than discussions about current affairs regarding Politics that aren't going to antagonise or offend anyone.
