You just copy the folder and put it in your projects folder for Visual Studio, and load the web project.
There should be a set of config and project files for Visual Studio to just pick it up and go.
If not, you have to build a new project.
I'm trying to remember what I used back in 2003 to make classic asp websites.
Your probably going to have to load in up in a virtual machine on your desktop using Windows XP to run it.
Maybe not!
I used "asp classic websites, visual studio 2013" as search words to use Visual Studio 2013 Community Edition to work on the project using a Windows 8.1 Machine.

Well we cannot bind loop to any control, but do you mean either interate DataGridView content as loop or bind DataGridView control inside any loop.
Please elaborate more.

In VS 2013, it is a real headache just to get the WAT running. After hours of mucking around I finally got it to pop up. But in Firefox, as soon as it opens, even if you immediately click security tab, it is already timed out. >:
In IE I get an error message that looks like it's not happy with a directory path.
I have not been able to figure out how to fix this in either browser. Anyone have any experience with this problem?

sorry guys. I see it referred to as WAT frequently. But I get it that if you see a question with no context, it could be mystifying. Anyway, yes - the website administration tool.
I see many articles that show you how to get it running if you are using Vis Web Dev 2013, but no one else seems to have my problem. Once it's up an running, if you click security tab, it tells you you are timed out, no matter how fast you do it.

VS 2012 had identity and access tool in its menu. I have VS 2013 and it is not there anymore. I'll save you the --- words. Is there anyway to get it back in VS 2013?

I want to add media player to an asp.net application. I am using VS 2013 express.
I have added all the media player dll's to references. Media player shows up when I add it to the toolbox.
So it is now in the toolbox, and it is visible if I select show all. However, for some reason it is gray and inactive, so I can't use it. >
What else do I need to do?

are you using html 5?, are trying to add control refernce from add reference -> .net components ?
if it is ture it will work for only windows based applications, not web.

I've successfully added media player to my references.
There are a number of tutorials that say after you do so, you can then add it to your toolbox. I've successfully done that also.
However, they then say you can just drag it to your web page design like any other toolbox control. They have screen shots showing this being done. That I can't do, because mine is grayed out and inactive.
So what do I need to do to make it active?

I am using an ASP.NET menu control along with a multiview control to navigate the different views. I specified orientation as horizontal. It displays correctly on my development PC. But when I move it to the server, it displays vertical. I don't have any style sheet with it. Is there some way I can make it display as horizontal? I'm using .NET 3.5. And I am still running it on the server with IIS6.

A beginner's problem: I have a asp.net web-site running on a webserver.
Additionally, on this server I want to have running some other programs, which generate data as input for this web-site.
E.g. such a program/service observes a requirements-database, and generates a report. This report should be the input for the web-site and can then be accessed by users.
How can such a szenario be realized?

I try to explain:
This means, that other programs retrive data from different sources, they preprocess it, and store it, e.g. in a database.
The web-server now reads the data from this database and presents it to the user

Here i am explaining the problem that i encounter during my project. I have a project of MVC4 in that i am using Telerik controls(not kendo & not rad). The Scenario is like this,
"I have a Telerik grid in that i am showing 20 records, in this grid i have an edit button at the end of each record. When i am clicking on edit button it shows a Telerik popUp window(which is a partial view) in that window i have used one collapsible control,
first time when i click on edit button it shows the popup window at center of the screen but when i am expanding the collapsible the window goes to bottom of the screen.

Hi.
I made a server control to show google map. It works, but has a strange problem; It generates 4 google map object on html document. All the server events raise once, but Prototype initialize method raise 4 times therefore all the method like createMap called 4 times. Whats problem?
