I'm leaning towards the "it's ok" camp although one of his earlier blogs was closed for spam. Others haven't been (and have been voted up in some cases).
Although this one is more spammy than most, I don't think the member is a spammer per se.

It's not something I can pin down as a definite, just a suspicious niggle at the back of my mind ... but there seem to have been an awful lot of awful posts over the last few months that are either:
- the first post from a member who has allegedly been here n years (where n >= 2)
or
- a post from a member who hasn't been "active" for n years (where n also >= 2)
In the first case I've actually elicited a comment where the OP claimed to have just joined CP and in the second I've seen instances of posts where the style of writing appears to have changed during their absence.
I think it's the sheer poor quality of some of the posts that has made me notice this (no change there then). If I see any more "evidence" I might post something on bugs'n'sugs

I know what you mean - I'm wondering if it's "email recycling"? If you get banned and sign up again using the same email, do you get the same "join date"? I know you did get all your points back at one point...
