The federal government has been ignoring the law for a long time, but it's accelerating. Do a search for the clandestine worker program being offered to illegal immigrants. Toss in "executive action" to ignore immigration law.

Yeah, but this looked like they had actual visas, which are a pain in the ass to get.
I looked into it a while back to see if I could bring over a friend from Romania to be a nanny so we could stop spending a gazillion bucks on daycare.
But you can't get a visa except for jobs that no one already here can't fill.

If it ever got 20 degrees down here I would have to move to the Sun, I guess. We complain when it gets below 70 degrees.

On Sunday I drank a little more than I should have. That did not stop me.
I also slept a little less than I should have. That also can't stop me.
On monday morning we had fresh snow. That could have stopped people, but not me.
Also, I started to show nasty signs of a flu or bad cold. Did not stop me.
Finally at work, I had about 15 messages from a certain car manufacturer. All priority one, and all having to do with a certain software for motor testing.
That, together with the cold, has stopped me from doing very much more than working and sleeping the last days.
Now you can pick: CCC or get your next expensive car with a tested motor.
