Watched a video this morning of how some beasts (Boko Haram) slaughtered men one after the other (after making then line up; I can't even TRY sharing the video here). It also happened years ago during the reign of Hitler but I thought men should have gotten wiser.
Why do we let some mentally insane idiots dazzle religion in front of us and we go haywire (all for their own gain)? What a wicked world we live in.

I doubt people have really changed that much in the last 20,000 years - our technology is better but we're still fundamentally the same creature.
It is comforting to think that "times have changed" or "we're more civilised now" though isn't it, even if it's not really true?

A few companies up here in New York have followed suit, as well. They laid off half their software engineers, and flew in some engineers from India to replace them. I have been told
that it is much, much cheaper to do it that way.
Personally, I think it sad and disgraceful but there is not much anyone can do about it. The price we pay for the way we live.

Yeah, but this looked like they had actual visas, which are a pain in the ass to get.
I looked into it a while back to see if I could bring over a friend from Romania to be a nanny so we could stop spending a gazillion bucks on daycare.
But you can't get a visa except for jobs that no one already here can't fill.
