Fantastically colorful! Though I wonder why the only color of the spectrum that appears to be missing is green... Anyone smarter than me have an answer?

As the picture was originally taken in infrared, all the colors are "false colors", i.e. the infrared spectrum is mapped to the visible spectrum. I'm not an expert in this field, but I suspect that the absence of green is due to the human eye's high sensitivity to green - it would appear much brighter than other colors in the false color image.
If there are any real experts out there - please confirm / refute my suspicion.

I think you are trying too hard (I've never heard of "riverrun", and it isn't in Google except in reference to Game of Thrones). And nobody in history ever read all of Finnegans Wake. In fact I understand that starting with the second edition, all pages from the start fo Chapter Two onwards are blank to save on printing costs and nobody has noticed...
Perhaps if you start by picking a word and work back from that to get the clue?

I hate to contradict someone as erudite as your good self, but many years ago I did read quite a lot of Joyce's work including the aformentioned. Hardly understood a word of it mind you.
