I also got a wireshark capture and a Procmon trace but neither one of those was of much help.
I could not get a Fiddler trace though.

Could this please remember the last settings I used? At the moment it always comes up with teh options set:

X Everything
X Articles
X Technical Blogs
X Tips & Tricks
X Reference Articles
Research Library

Answers
Forum Messages
News Items
Just My Stuff
My Bookmarks And it does a re-search eveytime you add or remove an option.
If you select just "Forum messages" it would be nice if it remembered that next time.

Look down a ways on the left for Saved Queries. You can save the current search query by name and then click on it to re-execute.

I'm not talking about running the same query again - just saving the "search here" locations.
That way, if I want to find a Lounge message, it doesn't do five or six postbacks (and thus five or six unwanted searches using your valuable server time) to "limit the range".

What about the "search within" dropdown in the search box? Does that help?
[edit: I've found a bug. Searching from the forum search box is meant to already limit it to messages. It doesn't]

I have the "Search" checkboxes, a "Sort by" drop, two "Match" drops, a "Rating Range" drop, and a "Saved queries" textbox. Other than that, there is just the "Advanced Filters".

Could we have a checkbox and a global "these are all spam" button?
There are 33 from the usual suspect in there at the moment, and it takes a while to prune it down, since every "delete" click requires a page reload, which is about 4 seconds or so.

This is just the first crack at this page.
I was thinking of using some AJAX magic to update the page without post back. Then there would not be the need for check boxes. Click, it's gone, and the list gets updated asynchronously.

Still be nice to be able to say "All of these" when they are clearly from the same author, and all give the same telephone number

I've noticed that some of the advice given for using the Article Editor doesn't seem to work on the OFFLINE version of it. For instnace, there's no "Language Dropdown", "'Var' Button", or panel for uploading files. What's up with all that--and how should I deal with it, in the event I want to be able to work on an article offline?

I think there are still something that needs attention in spam filters. Currently, after reporting users many posts as spam, his account is not getting disabled. e.g. http://www.codeproject.com/script/Membership/View.aspx?mid=11380041[^] is still alive at the time i am posting this even after reporting his almost 15 posts.
And even some of the question got listed in QA.
