Yeah I guess that's been a large part of it. When we were young people were ashamed to take welfare and preferred to stand on their own 2 feet. But in those days large corporations still had jobs in this country, the country where the workers got them to the point were they are.

Presumably it will be well after the point where we stop spending hundreds or even thousands to watch adults run up and down a field moving balls around under various arcane rules.
And that of course can't happen until we stop physically assaulting others and rioting after watching such displays.

I don't think it is silly. It actually works. I take full responsibilty for my parenting and my parenting mistakes with my children. I don't put the responsibility on some bullshit village.

To be fair, those congressional hearings are usually called when people use the occasion of a family event (such as the Super Bowl) to showcase their sub-par moral standards.
I've not seen Congressional hearings over a porno DVD showing nudity.
The outrage people feel during an obviously planned wardrobe malfunction is of the sort that some of these celebrities would express if they were to attend a Lady Gaga concert only to get a pudgy, middle aged preacher talking about Hell.
