It was an Australian goldfish.
And I'm fairly certain had its owner not paid for the operation he wouldn't have spent the money on a dying poor person instead.

It's amazing what some vets will do to help animals!
There is a UK TV series (very short, but there's a longer series starting later this year) called The Supervet[^] and what he does is incredible. Forget "nail a wheel on this amputee tortoise" - he puts prosthetic legs on cats! 
Worth a look if you can find it on YouTube or similar.

When we first took our dog to the vet my missus who worries far too much about him kept saying can this be done can this be done can this be done.

Not all of them - when we went to A Vet Who Will Not Be Named (because he is / was a litigious b'stard as well as greedy) in Haslemere his surgery was modern, well equipped - but no animal escaped without at least one £70 injection.
We ended up with a much less modern surgery run by two old vets who did nothing unless they felt it was in the best interest of the animal. And a damn sight cheaper as well.

I have been told anecdotally that the likes of Petplan have put the brakes on that practice. They simple send back invoices 'unpaid due to unnecessary work' and the vet then has to fight the insurers.

Our pet insurance has a £65 excess, I pay extra to bring it down from £90.
Most visits don't get anywhere near the insurers.

Hello all,
In our company we have a really nice Toshiba eStudio287cs multifunction printer.
It works ultra fast and well with a really sharp printing...
But...
When I try to print multiple copies of one large document it doesn't matter what do I select that it is always getting the same output...
For this example let's say I want to print 3 copies of the same document:
page 1, page 1, page 1, page 2, page 2, page 2, page 3, page 3, page 3...
When it's time to print the manuals we must legally endorse with our machines I can't get it working in a better way and I end up sorting every page (only when I don't remember to print three times the document).
In the Toshiba web site there are no drivers for this printer...
What would you do?

I find it strange that no IT person in your company can have alook. And forgive me for asking the obvious. But have you made sure to check "Collated" in every possible config page ?
