Hmm..
Has anyone written an add-in wizard for Visual C++ 6.0 Enterprise, which allows you to generate blank MFC projects ?
The same in english: I want to create MFC projects from scratch, but I cannot do this, as the ClassWizard is not available by default. How can I activate ClassWizard for a project that does not have anything in it ?
I already know that I can add MFC-support to a Win32-project (EXE/DLL) by choosing it from the project settings. However, for some strange reason, this doesn't always work. What I want to do, is to be able to write an MFC-application from scratch using the ClassWizard..

I have a program which is installed on a Windows 2000 server which has Terminal Services installed. The question is: How can I limit the number of instances of the program opened by all users. (eg. 4 concurrent users can use the program at the same time)

I have a float value which is say 1.21000 and I want to print it as 1.21 only . I am using CString Format function to make it printable
like
float x;
..
..
CString myData;
myData.Format("%f",x);
How do I get to print 1.21 instead of 1.21000 . Please help .

Hallo!!
I want to select items in a ListCtrl not by the user , i want select the whole items in row in Report style by the programm. Not the user should select the row,
the programm must do this. There are Columnes, and the whole row must be selected.
The second problem is thsize of the items, there are only
labels (text) in the control, no imiges.
How can I change the size of the items/text ??

Make sure you set LVS_FULLROWSELECT (or something like that) also to select the whole row.

To change the height of the rows (if you meant that) you can do a trick if you don't want to ownerdraw everything:
you can create a imagelist without images and defining a special height, once this is done you have only to attach that imagelist to the listctrl and that's all.

I need to edit (modify) a record being part of an AdoRecordset.
I've written the following code:
m_MyRecordset.Open("TABLE", CADORecordset::OPEN_TABLE);
m_MyRecordset.MoveFirst();
m_MyRecordset.Edit();
m_MyRecordset.SetFieldValue(_T("Field"), 1000);
m_MyRecordset.Update();
But it doesn't works. It generates an exception that says
that "query is too complex" !!!
Can someone tell me why it doesn't work and what
have I to do in order to edit an existing record ?

Just a question. In m_MyRecordset.Open( "TABLE", CADORecordset::OPEN_TABLE) shouldn't you have have "SELECT something FROM table"? I have never used CADORecordset because I use ADO directly, that's why I am asking you this question. Or at least, have you made sure that you have opened the database and that you have a valid connection to it?

Hi there!
I'm trying to surf the resource in my CHtmlView. I want to have all the web stuff in the resource.
Everything except swf files seems to work with:
res://name.exe/'type'/'name' for all graphics (jpg, gif, png etc.) and html.
I can surf the HTML-pages without any problem.
But, it won't load the swf file.
The swf-player is there, but it says "Movie not loaded".

In the CyptroAPI documentation, the call to CryptEncrypt suggests that one can make two calls in order to first determine how large a buffer is needed in order to hold the encrypted data. To accomplish this, one sets the value of the 'pbData' parameter to NULL. What I don't understand, is if the buffer pointer is set to NULL, how does CryptEncrypt know what is to be encrypted and thus possibly compute the size of a buffer that is required. What am I missing?

1st time you call CryptEncrypt with all the params except pbData = NULL,
pdwDataLen = lenght of data to encrypt.

Hi guys I need a 3x15 matrix where each cell can change depending if I click with the left (ascending values) or right (descending values) button.
The content of each cell has to be alphanumeric (Ex: 0,1,2,3...16 or A,B,C...,Z)
What do you suggest me?
I was thinking to use a kind of CStatic derivated class.

Hey all,
I'm no encryption guru, and was hoping somebody could point me in the right direction.
We have a client/server (Windows based, written in Win32) application which we sell internationally and is used by many of the large data-centers in the world. In recent months, with security being a big issue we have customers who are inquring about the data that is sent between the client/server, whether the data is sent/recieved in the clear, is it encrypted etc.
Currently, our data is sent in the clear with the exception of the user's passwords which are transferred and stored in a MD5 hash.
In talking with the Security department at one of the customers we're working with, this is easy fudged and has suggested we implement SSL-3 with 128 bit encryption and 1024 bit keys. Has anybody taken on such a challenge?
I've had a chance to download various libaries but for the most part, its hard to find a GOOD working example.
The data our product documents isn't important apparently, its the fact that users could use the SAME passwords for our application than they do for another application which could be more sensitive.

I have created an MFC application that hosts the microsoft WebBrowser
Active-X Control. I need to open an html page that contains an applet
that was created with Java Sdk 1.4.1. It will not work with any
previous versions.
When I open the applet using the normal IE it works. (The Java 1.4.1 Plugin is Used)
When I attempt to open the applet with the application I have created
it does not work, it gives me the same type of error as if I did not
have the newest java plugin.
Does anyone know if it is possible to have the WebBrowser Control
always use the newest Java Plugin?

Any body know how to do this?

One solution is to have the server run as a service, but is not enabled. As the client makes a connection, it can ask the server to enable.

Hi.
I've attached a CString member to a text-field.
Sometimes, the text may be so large that the text doesn't fit into the available text-field.
Is there any way to auto-resize the textfield so i'm sure the text will be always shown completely and not a part of it?
