In these low inflation, low interest times it is not a bad idea to have a reasonable stack of cash in your house somewhere. Yes, it is losing value, but only slowly, and it will save you if your bank cards stop working for a few days.

More true than you probably think. When I worked retail our POS, Point of Sale, was a POS, Piece of Sh*t. It was such a joke that the company changed it to POP, which they meant to mean Point of Purchase. We referred to it as a Piece of Poop, the more polite form of our former POS system.

Obviously the renamed POP's functionality matches the earlier POS one very closely.
10 points for effort, 0 for result although for a POS or POP that is debatable.
